our history

We opened our doors in 1979. Along the way we’ve won over our share of skeptics, won clients, won awards, lost every game of the 2010 softball season, and probably come closer than we’d like to admit to losing our minds a time or two. But we wouldn’t trade a minute of it. (With the possible exception of that 2010 season.)

1979 Charlie and Donna Williams open the doors to Williams Company with Templeton Coal as our first client
1983 Gerry Randall’s first day
1987 WR joins the Mac revolution
1988 First Communication Arts award; Forrest Sherer Insurance
1993 Williams Company named Agency of the Year
1994 Gerry Randall becomes partner
1995 WR, ahead of the curve, designs first client website; Glas-Col
1996 WR opens Indianapolis office
2001 First (and last) Annual WR Mustache-Growing Contest
2004 WR debut as Giant Balloon Wranglers in the 500 Festival Parade
2006 First Telly Award; Clabber Girl
2008 WR moves into current office, downtown Indianapolis
2009 WR wins national Marketing Sherpa award; Indiana Tourism
2010 WR goes 0-8 in agency league softball
