We are seeking a smart marketer and strategic thinker who values planning, analytics, results-driven tactics and continuous improvement to act as an account supervisor. This role is for a seasoned marketing and/or account service executive. Experience in tourism strategic marketing is a plus. The position is based in our downtown Indianapolis office.  

Management Responsibilities

  • Mentor, train and oversee an account coordinator
  • Hold weekly 1:1 meeting with direct report
  • Work with director of client services to develop and maintain standard processes for account service
  • Execute annual performance evaluations and goal setting for direct report
  • Oversee quality of client deliverables such as plans, creative briefs, estimates, etc.

Account Service Duties and Responsibilities for Assigned Clients

  • Act as a senior account executive on key accounts, with support from your account coordinator
  • Demonstrate ownership and serve as the subject matter expert related to key accounts, their industries, goals, products and competitors
  • Orchestrate planning for clients and manage the implementation of those plans
  • Meet regularly with creative, media, research, analytics, and interactive resources to coordinate agency efforts on behalf of assigned accounts
  • Develop creative briefs, provide strategic input for creative teams, and participate in creative development sessions
  • Keep apprised of clients’ brands, products, services, competition, and marketing developments
  • Effectively present, sell and defend all agency work and proposals to clients
  • Work with analytics and media planners to include testing, tracking and measurement for all campaigns; recommend modifications based on results
  • Ensure that day-to-day communication flows well among the internal project team and between the agency and its clients
  • Scope out and develop estimates for work
  • Develop and manage project timelines, ensure deadlines are met, raise awareness on issues requiring escalation
  • Work with other account executives to schedule and prioritize agency resources for projects; identify freelance needs
  • Manage internal routing and client approvals; check and approve final deliverables
  • Monitor hours estimated vs. spent throughout a project; communicate to team
  • Manage overall client budgets and invoice clients
  • Actively seek additional projects/new business from existing clients to achieve account growth
  • Support new business team in plans, proposals, and pitches
