When someone or something exceeds original expectations, it calls for a readjustment. Houseplant outgrew its pot? Re-pot it in a bigger one. Soccer club thrashing the competition? Promote them to the next league up. And when an employee displays capabilities above and beyond their immediate role, that role is changed, so the duties better match the competencies. At least, that’s how it works in a company concerned with keeping their employees engaged and challenged …and fortunately, Williams Randall Advertising is exactly that kind of company.
Caysi Johnson-Elmore joined the Williams Randall family in November of 2022 as an Analytics Specialist. It’s not easy to stand out in an Analytics department so ridiculously full of talent, but somehow, in the time between then and last month, when she was named Online Project Manager, Caysi did.
Caysi’s old role chiefly involved gathering data from ongoing or just-ended ad campaigns, then collating, interpreting and reporting that data, allowing the agency to show clients the fruits of their ad spend as well as hone our tactics for subsequent campaigns. While this function is crucial to an ad agency’s continued success, it didn’t fully leverage Caysi’s growing strengths in communication and organization, areas where she truly excels.
Opportunity is notoriously fickle, but every now and then it knocks right on time. Over the last few years, Williams Randall has experienced a significant, steady uptick in website development work at the same time a team member was starting to exhibit the precise skillset needed to shoulder the corresponding workload. Kismet, meet Serendipity.
Who better to explain our new Online Project Manager’s duties than Caysi herself? “I’ll be setting the [web] projects up for success with the appropriate team members,” she says, “checking in regularly to ensure efficient pacing, providing updates to the client, acting as a messenger for their feedback, and promoting any additional services available to clients to support additional opportunities to work together.” Sounds like exactly the right job for someone with exceptional analytical, organizational and people skills. Congratulations, Caysi!
