Helping with Two Kinds of Cleanup

Williams Randall loves any reason to be together in person, and it’s especially satisfying when it’s to do some good teamwork for others in the community. This spring we completed two volunteer events: one for Indiana Diaper Bank in April and the Indy Cultural Trail in May.

Much as its name implies, Indiana Diaper Bank provides families in need with free diapers, which results in way more than dry bottoms. It also encourages positive changes in parental moods, improved child health, and increased opportunities for the families who might have to choose between food and diapers otherwise. When one in three families report not having a sufficient supply of diapers, we believe this nonprofit deserves our support.

Our group of seven Williams Randall team members was joined by four friends from our client, MDwise, and we divided into two groups to do our job that evening. Our first group bundled diapers into packs, which included a QR code to help Indiana Diaper Bank collect important data, too. The second group built a rolling shelf system for storing and organizing diaper bundles.

For our third annual Indy Cultural Trail cleanup event, nine of us slid on our work gloves to pick up trash and weed and mulch Virginia Avenue flowerbeds. We love having our office right on the Indy Cultural Trail, and it was especially gratifying to spruce up the area between Washington and Maryland that includes our beautiful building. We always appreciate the staff’s instructions and supplies. This year they were especially good at showing us the difference between weeds and what should stay in the ground so we didn’t make any mistakes.
